Get Started - Social Dance Class See All Times

May 27, 2017

Thank you for enrolling in our "Get Started - Social Dance Class" at Revolution Ballroom. We look forward to showing you how fun and easy learning to dance can be!

What To Expect:
Your evening begins at 6:30 PM with a brief overview of our course offerings and options for learning to dance. You'll see a dance demonstration of our core curriculum, which are the dances you'll learn in your beginner classes. We'll answer any questions you may have, show you around our studio, and introduce you to our staff. At 7:00 PM you'll enjoy a beginner group lesson where you'll learn the basics of a fun and popular social dance. We'll rotate partners through-out the lesson so you can meet new friends and learn by dancing with a variety of partners. You do not need to bring a partner with you but you are welcome to bring one if you wish. (If bringing a partner please register them online). Then at 7:30 PM you are invited to join our dance party. You will have the chance to meet other students, watch the exciting dancing, and even get out on the floor and enjoy dancing the night away! Light refreshments will be served and you are welcome to stay and enjoy the festivities as long as you wish.

Overview
6:30 - 7:00 PM - New Student Orientation
7:00 - 7:30 PM - Fun Beginner Group Lesson
7:30 - 10:00 PM - Practice Dance Party

What To Wear:
Our dance parties are dressy and since dancing is great exercise you'll want to avoid wearing anything too warm or constricting. If you do not have ballroom dance shoes we recommend wearing comfortable leather-soled shoes. We recommend shoes that lace up or have ankle straps to keep the shoe comfortably on your foot while dancing. High heels are not recommended for ladies as these shoes can damage our dance floor. (Ballroom dance heels are fine). Flip flops and sneakers with rubber treads are not recommended. Most students find that a smooth-soled, leather dress shoe works well to start.

Congratulations on taking the first step on your journey to dance. We look forward to seeing you on the dance floor soon!
